In these three passages, Paul is beseeching humanity to change some of the internal thoughts, which in turn will change the behavior of people and positively impact on their feelings. One of the primary premise that the proponents of REBT rely on is the belief that people are fundamentally born imperfect; one of the major goals of the therapy assists people to learn to accept their personalities as well as others unconditionally. God s unconditional love for humanity regardless its imperfection is an all-encompassing recurring theme in the Bible. For example, God demonstrated his love for us through the death of his son Jesus when humanity plunged into sin. Similarly, cognitive-based therapy promotes a more realistic view of the self and others, which is in agreement with Romans 12:3 passage. The passage encourages us to be vigilant in evaluating ourselves and beseech us to measure ourselves by the faith that God has vested in us. Another objective of the CB family therapy is to modify behavioral patterns by altering internal thought procedures. This objective is consistent with Paul’s teachings in the previously identified three passages. Paul s admonition in Romans 12:2 specifically appeal us not to emulate the earthy behavior and customs, but rather, let God transform us into revived
